Halloween
Walk
The
Wadsley and
Loxley Commoners (WALC) are organising their traditional Halloween
Walk on Tuesday, 31st October. Meet at the Rural
Lane car park at 7pm. There is a pie and pea supper afterwards
in the Wadsley Jack. Tickets are available at £3.00 from
Evelyn on 2343385 or Hannah on 2335331. Evelyn and Hannah are
also selling tickets for the WALC Barn Dance at Wadsley Church
Hall on Saturday, 25th November. The evening
begins at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £7.00.
Cycling events
The
Sheffield Landscape Trust is staging a ten-mile mountain bike
ride on Saturday, 25th November, starting at
Wood Lane Countryside
Centre. Further details from organiser Kevin Burke, who says
the ride will be suitable for beginners and tuition will be available
for the inexperienced. Kevin can be contacted on 2316982. He is
also organising a series of cycle maintenance and repair workshops
at the countryside centre. These are being held once a month,
on Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm.
Musical evening
Robin
Johnson and his Palm Court Orchestra perform at Bradfield Village
Hall on Saturday, 28th October. The evening includes
a two-course candlelit supper. Tickets are £10 per person.

Christmas
events
The
Bradfield Christmas Craft Fair will be held in the village hall
from 10am to 5pm on Sunday, 26th November. Admission

The
village hall is also the venue for a "Grand Sing of Local
Christmas Carols, on Friday, 1st December at
7.30pm. Tickets cost £3.00. More information on 2337463.
